Artist's Bio
Born in Borneo, Ang-Ray
spent time living in Borneo, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and London before
coming to live and paint in New York City.
He draws inspiration from
20th-Century Abstract Expressionists artists such as De Kooning, Francis Bacaon & other artists such as Cezanne, Van Gogh, Soutine, Richard Serra. His
expressive oils reflect a unique and contemporary fusion of Asian
influences with Western techniques.
"Art should be
inspired by one's feelings and sensitivity," professes Ang,
"which can result in a spiritual bonding between the artist and his
audience."
